Versace Watches

One of the biggest fashion names of the world is Versace, known for luxury clothing, fragrances, makeup, fashion accessories and home furnishings. Gianni Versace began work as a designer in 1972 at just 25 years old. Six years later marked the creation of his first collection "Gianna Versace Donna".

The eighties saw his creativity boom into a widely acclaimed fashion brand, typical of the Italian style. Over the early part of the nineties, the brand significantly diverted to the watch and jewellery industry when Gianna Versace collaborated with Frank Muller. Atelier was the first collection and since then the Versace collection has greatly expanded and evolved. The unfortunate murder of Gianna in 1997, led to the company being taken over by his sister, Donatella and other family members.

Versace watches convey a glamour second to none and are subject to the high quality of Swiss watchmaking. Versace SA was founded in 1998 as an independent company to produce and distribute all Versace jewellery and watches. In 2004 Vertime SA established itself in Switzerland, the result of an agreement between Versace and Timex Group (leader of the watch making industry for over 150 years). It is now the company responsible for all Versace watches and jewellery. All items of the Maison are distributed through Versace boutiques or a select network of licensees. Via Bocca di Leone in Rome houses the first Versace store dedicated entirely to the watch and jewellery collections. The Dubai Mall, Dubai opened its doors to the second Versace jewellery store in 2009.

Versace is a brand linked to many famous celebrities including Elton John, Madonna, Lady GaGa, Jennifer Lopez and Tupac. After the discontinuation of the Atelier collection of watches, Versace introduced Precious Items, including writing instruments, fine jewellery and watches.

Versace watches continue to be in high demand and are superb quality timepieces. Each piece reflects the style and traditions of the brand from classical to modern.
