(Reviewed 1 times) Citizen Men's Perpetual Chrono A-T Bracelet Watch - AT4008-51E Reviewed on: 17 June 2013 Reviewed By: Mr Alan Aston In March my faithful old Accurist Chronograph finally gave up the ghost after nearly 25 years of 'every day wear' service, since then I have been looking for a worthy replacement. Mindful that it must have cost me a fortune in batteries during that time, I was drawn to the Citizen Eco-Drive system models which use day & artificial light to charge them. Researching on the internet I narrowed my choice to the Citizen World Perpetual A-T4 models all of which have the same features I wanted which were Eco-Drive, atomic (radio) controlled time keeping & perpetual calendar. I chose the AT4008-51E purely for asthetic reasons, the only difference from the others is the style of bracelet/strap & colour of accents (gold, blue, black & red). Other features of this watch include chronometer, sapphire crystal scratch resistant non-reflective glass, bright luminous hands & hour markers, alarm, day & date displays, tachymeter & waterproof to 200m all in a polished stainless steel case with polished/brushed stainless steel bracelet and a neat dual push button clasp. The dials are easy to read & although at first glance the functions may seem a bit complicated, a quick read of the simple instructions will prove otherwise. One small criticism is the volume of the alam, using it as an alert for an appointment is fine but it certainly would'nt wake me up in the morning!! Images on the internet can make it look a little chunky (as do many others) & having slim wrists I was concerned that it may have looked a little "blingy" on me but I tried it on in a national high street jewellers first & although a little bigger & heavier than my previous watch it looked great. Owning this watch means no batteries, no time correcting & no altering the date at the end of the month, the ultimate lazy blokes timepiece! A Google search revealed all suppliers were asking the same price but after looking on Nigel O'Haras website I got a fantastic "fathers day special" deal that made it a "no brainer" buy. Not having bought from Nigel O'Hara before I was a little nervous about placing the order, but as promised the watch arrived within 5 working days by registered post at no extra cost and the bracelet altered to fit my wrist also at no cost. A free gift for my wife of sterling silver earrings & a 10% off voucher for a future purchase, brilliant!! This watch is perfect for me & would recommend it & the service from Nigel O'Haras. Excellent

I couldn't tell you what kind of watch (be it style, colour etc.) I wanted at all, I just knew that at some point , a watch would stand out and that would be the one for me. In all honesty, many of the features that this watch has, I was unaware of until I had it in my hand (admittedly, the number of dials and buttons did give some indication that it had other features than just telling me the time!). So the lack of knowledge of the watch's features was really a product of wanting a watch that when I looked at it, I thought "yes, that's what I want". As a result, when I received the watch, I was almost as impressed with manual as I was the watch. What can I tell you about the watch so far then? Well, for starters, I think it looks great!! I believe this watch comes with differing colours, but I chose the Stainless Steel with Gold Plated parts creating the two tone look....a look that I really like. Although the main features can be found on the specifications page, I will repeat them again, even if just for reference. The main and arguably the most important feature is that it shows the time!!.........and clearly too!! Other main features are an Alarm, Perpetual Calendar (I've always had the date on watches that I have bought before as it is a feature I like), a Sapphire Crystal Glass (scratch resident too, which is great as we're never as careful as we think we are), Non-Reflective Glass (as contrary to common belief, we do get quite a bit of sunshine here in the UK), a luminous display (for night time operations!), 200m water resistance (should you find yourself at those depths with the watch on), atomic timekeeping with radio calibration in five time zones, chronograph and tachymeter. One of the features I do like is the fact that it uses light (natural or artificial) to charge itself up, a godsend for those of us who are less than useful when it comes to changing batteries regularly!! The watch bracelet itself is really comfortable and feels lovely on the wrist. The clasp itself has a push button operation for release, which is a great feature. The watch itself is slightly heavier and bigger than my old watch, but that's not a negative, just an observation from a personal point of view. The more I look at it, the more I think I have made the right choice and I look forward to trying out at least some of the features...although I'm not so keen on testing it to 200m of water though!! It's a great watch and I am very pleased with it. I would most certainly recommend it. Excellent

Numbers are clear and easy / quick to read, beautiful face & the silver works great for every combination of clothes I wear. I particularly like the day/date display. I also favour the expandable strap which is adjusted to fit my small wrist perfect. Also, wearing and taking it off is faily easy and simple. Have purchased watched online, I initially got the impression that the face was actually larger than it actually is. So, when delivered I expected it to bigger. But it has turned out to be a really nice fit to my wrist. I would give this watch 10/10. love it. Excellent

This is a stunning Citizen bracelet watch arrived today and I love it!!!!. The measurements of the watch case are 28mm width and 8mm depth. This was so important to me as I have a very narrow wrist, and whilst I like the big dials, they are often too big and uncomfortable to wear. This watch is perfect, it looks good and has a real presence on my wrist, and as it sits so well it so comfortable and it looks amazing!! This Citizen watch has a Citizen Eco-Drive movement, powered by both natural and artificial light and does not require a battery, which was another reason for purchasing it!! It has a mother of pearl dial with golden tone hour markers, which are luminous, with Swarovski crystals surrounding the dial, 30m water resistance that is suitable for water immersion, date window, mineral crystal scratch resistant glass and a push button deployment clasp. The watch case and bracelet are comprised of stainless steel with rose gold PVD plating that will not flake or tarnish. This model has the WOW factor. A fabulous bit of bling at an amazing price!! A lot of watch for the money. I can recommend this to any discerning watch loving person! Excellent
